Interconnection between postmetaphysics and internal relations in Ludwig Wittgenstein's tractatus logico-philosophicus
The paper is concerned with the interconnection between postmetaphysics and notion of internal relations in Ludwig Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus. Internal relations are relations which could not fail to obtain, since they are given with or (partly) constitutive of the terms, such as white's being lighter than black. One could easily generalize conception of internal relations in connection with Wittgenstein's typical points such as rules of inference, truth, logical forms, tautology (Tractatus 5.132, 4.442, 4.12, 5.1362 respectively), and the limits of language which also represent internal relations. A relationship between world and language is also internal. Meaningful proposition obliged to have pictorial common structure with reality of states of affairs (the Tractarian isomorphism theory). This is well known Tractarian notion of sense and nonsense. In the paper I argue that main Wittgenstein's postmetaphysical ideas are always closely associated with conception of internal relations and thereafter with sense/ nonsense criterion.
