Evolution of relations between the Parliament and the President in Poland in the period of transformation
The article is devoted to the turbulent process of regulation of relations between the Parliament and the President in Poland after political transformation in late 80's and early 90's. Transition toward democracy in Poland based on elite pact and consensus, however it did not indemnify from series of political conflicts. They were caused by attempts to change the "round table" agreement and confrontation within democratic forces. Among the results of this conflict that had big impact on the transformation were unstable relations between legislature and executive and unsettled juridical position of the President, that was adopted to the political system in 1989. The regulation of relations between the Parliament and President has finished the period of the transformation of the political system of Poland.
