The new place of knowledge in modern society initiated its definition as "knowledge society". Modern knowledge acquired social-cultural significance. It has entered into every social structure and has resulted in all social spheres. Knowledge recognized as a key resource for the development of society. This has led to the emergence of new professionals to the society. Knowledge is their main "productive" capital. In abroad literature researchers use the term "knowledge worker" to name new workers. Knowledge workers are presented as professionals, whose work is focused on the manipulation of knowledge (receiving, using, distribution, development). Their work has intellectual character. It is defined by the term "knowledge work" in the literature. The creation of new knowledge is the main element of modern workers. They are in constant communication interaction with other people for this. Transfer and development of new knowledge is a result of communication. New workers use knowledge for professional activity. It is a key feature of the concept «knowledge work». Thus, the mind (sense) of the individual is the most important "factor of production" in modern society. We need to consider the person as intellectual capital, because knowledge is becoming the main capital of modern society. Intellectual capital is inseparable from person. It allows us to speak about the increasing value of knowledge workers for organizations of which they are, and for the whole society. Creating of new knowledge is the part of the process of solving professional problems which modern workers face. In addition, knowledge, which is created by their activity, supports a continuous process of development of knowledge in whole. In turn it leads to the development of society. Consideration of knowledge workers is an essential part of the study of the problem of the knowledge society. This type of personality appears as socio-cultural response to the challenges of the world of professional knowledge society.
