Investigations of the influence of cultural and symbolic "context" on political socialization of Tomsk students

Political socialization is formed as a process of selection of information in the cultural-symbolic space of the outside world, by means of which the derivatives are the mentality of society. Political socialization of youth can be defined as a means of controlled selection field communication society that is experiencing today the influence of chaotic tendencies of the modern information world. The trend of today's global cultural-symbolic context is to increase the pace of development of the social order and an increase in the diversity of sources of cultural-symbolic context. A feature of the Russian cultural-symbolic context serves growth of cultural differences and ways of life, superimposed on the process of post-Soviet transformation of society and its cultural orientations, making cultural-symbolic context polystylistic. A feature of the Tomsk regional cultural-symbolic context are cultural-symbolic phenomena Tomsk region as a «learning region», folding in the process of positioning in Russia and the global community. Study of the nature of the political relevance mentality of students in Tomsk modern cultural-symbolic «context» of political socialization was carried out using a phenomenological methodology (phenomenological survey) and methods of psychological testing. Method of investigating life experiences socializing agent, immersed in a specific «context», allowed to understand how a person experiences the political world, including in the regional dimension. Diagnostic Method of socio-psychological attitudes and personality test cultural value orientations provided an opportunity diagnostic disposition of individual attitudes of students to the different meanings, directivity of symbolic «context» of political socialization of students in Tomsk. The results showed that the leading range of cultural-symbolic context of political socialization of students of Tomsk is polystylistic Russian cultural-symbolic context, traditionalist component which allows you to reverse the trend of global uncertainty cultural context. Meanwhile, the data connection is not visible political mentality of students with the regional strategy and external positioning of Tomsk region as a «learning region».
