Interest groups" versus "elite": theory of A. Bentley in the context of classic elitist views (G. Mosca, V. Pareto, R. Michels)

In this article author tries to highlight the main areas of extramural discussion between the views of A. Bentley, one of the founders of the theory of "interest groups" (advocacy groups), and the traditional position of elitist researchers. Author tries to harmonize the fundamental positions of the various authors to derive some integrative definition of modern political elite and its social role & position.
