The role of social networks in the educational migration (on the example of China)

The paper is deal with the study of social networks in the educational migration of migrants from China and prospects of its future development. As a result of sociological research (used methods: the composition of the matrix of social relations and interviews), the author finds out the basic ways of formation of social networks of migrants in the university, explores its inner and outer structure and reveals mechanisms of interaction between members of the network with the Russian-speaking students and teachers. The article also presents the main problems faced by educational migrants from China at the educational process. Finally, there is a list of recommendations for a more effective integration of migrants into the educational environment of the Russian university.
