Social interactions as a mechanism that forms sociality
The article discusses the impact of social interactions on the formation of various social communities and, in general, on the formation of sociality. Depending on the “quality” of social interactions, their result can be either an increase in sociality or an increase in social alienation. To this end, it is shown that social interaction is a basic, cross-cutting concept in sociological knowledge. This situation is especially important today when the social world is being reformatted, network social organisms arise, hierarchical structures are inferior to the horizontal in the degree of their influence on social processes, and the internal needs of people in public consent change. Interacting with each other, people enter into the process of “socialization”, which today is interpreted as sociality. Weakening social interaction breeds alienation. The article considers the interests of justice as unifying interests in Russian society; their violation causes social alienation. It is statistically proved that today the alienation of various individuals and groups, in connection with the violation of justice in society, becomes critical. Excess social inequality is considered as the main indicator of injustice. At the same time, attention is also paid to the “self-alienation” of the so-called “elite”, and to the contrasts of incomes of various groups of the population. A positive social community, formed with respect for the interests of justice, with elimination of excessive differences in income, and having some common characteristics and its identity, is increasingly inferior to the so-called “narrative” one. “Narrative” sociality arises about some important events (“Crimea is ours!”, FIFA World Cup, etc.), but it is unstable; it disintegrates as these events become distant in time. “Narrative” sociality coexists along with social alienation; it forms a certain social order in which a certain synthesis of the interests of economy, enterprise, justice and injustice arises. It is stated that it is necessary to turn to the heritage of Karl Marx when analyzing the contradictions of this social order. Today it is also highly relevant, especially when analyzing the various causes of social alienation and, in general, the main contradictions of society. It is suggested that, when forming a national and regional social policy, one should take into account the growing protest moods of the population and intensify the search for social “braces” capable of enhancing the interaction of people and integrating them into positive social communities.
