Qualitative Transformations of the Social Subject in the General Context of Changes in Modern Society: Theoretical and Methodological Approaches
The article deals with the transformation of the social subject of modernity in conjunction with macrosocial processes leading to qualitative theoretical and methodological changes in the paradigm of the subject within the social and philosophical discourse. The authors identify fourteen dimensions in which qualitative features of modern society are determined: globalism; quali-liberalism, quasi-democracy; manufacturing consent; individualization; risk; postmodernity; technocracy, postindustrialism; information; neoliberalism; post-capitalism; consumerism; mass society; network society; control society. In the projection on the social subject, specific transformations are identified that determine it in the modern world, among which the authors highlight the following: flexibility as an integral property of dynamism and flexibility of behavior; openness, resonance, intuition; ultra-rationality as the ability to combine logic with intuition in the analysis of transforming systems; transversality as an ability to sharpen dialogue beyond disciplinary discourses. As the next step, the authors correlate the resulting transformations with the general theoretical and methodological discourse with the general paradigm of the subject in social philosophy. The issues raised are topical in the applied fields of sociohumanitarian knowledge since the answers to these questions set the guidelines for designing the trajectory of a social subject in the modern world and fill the process of their socialization with concrete content.
