The Intersection Points of Ontological Grounds for Resolving the One-Many Problem in Hellenistic and Early Christian Cultural Traditions

The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that the one-many problems in the ancient and Christian culture of religious and philosophical thought reveal individual facets of the ontology of the world and man, the reasons for their existence and potential opportunities. Studied in the context of religious and philosophical discourse, the one-many problems contribute to a more in-depth ontologi-cal analysis of the causes of public and social conflicts, violence, terrorism, sectarianism since they draw our attention to the violation of the unity in spiritual and cultural traditions. If not to reduce this violation only to manifestations of church and law historical reality and signs qualifying various aspects of dissent, one can see that it is a deep and multifaceted phenomenon of the spiritual and moral life of a person that has a direct impact on culture and society. The violation of the unity of spiritual and cultural-historical traditions often becomes a destructive form of extremist apostasy from all goodness, love, humanity as a whole, that is, it acquires a certain global significance. The article discusses the sources of the ancient and early Christian religious and philosophical traditions which reveal the problem indicated in the title of the article. They are compared with the early Christian cultural and historical tradition. The general direction of ancient and early Christian religious and philosophical thought is revealed, mainly oriented to the "eternal questions" of being: comprehension of the universal problems of the fate of the world and man, salvation and death, life and death, good and evil. The author also reveals the differences in the approaches of ancient and early Christian philosophers to the above topics. The article shows the importance and relevance of the ontological problems of unity of values for a deeper contemporary philosophical discourse on preventing interreligious, public and social conflicts, violence, destructive sectarianism, extremism and terrorism.
