The Special Merit of Thought Experiment

The author discusses the thesis Taras Varkhotov formulated on the possibility of interpreting thought experiments as having non-discursive grounds and describes opportunities and limitations associated with thought experiments as the work of imagination. This understanding brings together various types of experiments in science, as well as the work of imagination in artistic practices. In addition, it allows us to solve the problem of producing new knowledge through thought experiments.
