TRANSNATIONAL DEMOCRACY: THEORIES AND PROSPECTS
The various descriptions of transnational democracy rooting various traditions of a democratic idea are identified. Critical reflection on these four contemporary re-imaginings of democracy - democratic intergovernmentalism, radical republican democracy, cosmopolitanism, and deliberative democracy -raises fundamental questions about the desirability and possibility of transnational democracy.
