The Aesthetics of Decadence by F. Rabelais

The creativity of F. Rabelais - the greatest French writer of XVIth century is investigated in the article. The main ideas from his texts are extracted. The analysis of the Russian interpretations (M. Bachtin, A. Losev) of Rabelais's books is made. The conclusion is the following: the Rabelais's creativity signifies decadence and death of the aesthetics of Renaissance.
