The Danube army and the War of 1812 as interpreted by the authors of the Collection of Verses Related to Unforgettable 1812 (M., 1814): Historical facts and social mythology
Discusses the interpretation of the question about the participation of the Danube army in the war of 1812 of the authors of the edition published in Moscow in 1814 and includes almost everything that is written in 1812 - early 1814 Russian verses about the war of 1812. Artistic and ideological understanding of historical events and parties represented in the anthology, different documentary precision and yet is part of the nationbuilding and social mythology. Introducing the material into the system in many contexts, the author comes to the conclusion that the edition most closely associated with the ideological context, showing implementations in the public consciousness of the Russian perceptions of the Russian nation as a civilian, in connection with that role of the Danube army in the war of 1812 is interpreted. In the pages of "Collection..." occurs a collective image of powerful and invincible Russian army, united in their effort with the monarch and the people, against this background, highlighted with specific historical details of the actions of the Danube army, individual portraits of its representatives, eventually organically included in the glorious history of the war of 1812 and the national Pantheon of heroes, reflecting the features of a common destiny of Russia and the national character of Ross.
