Russian paroemiology in terms of ordinary language consciousness
The article deals with the peculiarities of reflecting the Russian language paro-emiae (proverbs) in ordinary language consciousness. Ordinary language consciousness implying mechanisms of language activity which reflect practical and sensual experience of Russian native speakers is studied as a representant of the complex of traditional and modern views. This work allows us to define specific features of ordinary consciousness of individuals as well as the whole ethnic group and corresponds to the reconstruction of dominating views, knowledge and special mental states leading to some activities which reflect peculiarities of the Russian national world vision. The main source of the materials is "The Dictionary of Russian words ordinary interpretations", fixing the results of naive lexicographie. The analysis of dictionary reactions-idioms allows us to identify: which semantic components are relevant for the ordinary Russian speaker, which differential signs of meaning seem dominating, what information which is important for the informants remains beyond the scope of dictionary interpretation. The research showed that ordinary language consciousness reflected in the paroemiological body of the Russian language is a complex formation including contradictory characteristics. It has the tradition and novelty, stereotypes and individual character, speech creation and predetermination. It reflects sensual everyday content, fixed in the form of images, ideas, associations. The ordinary speaker language activity is aimed at understanding and appreciation of these speech formulas rather than simple reproduction. This feature is reflected in dominating transformed paroemiae which shows high productivity of transformation language mechanism for ordinary language consciousness.
