Perceptions of the Russian Power by Aborigines in Siberia in the XVII century: Eurasian (Central Asian) Context

During the colonization of Siberia Russians found an administrative system, fiscal institutions and «supremacy-submission» relations there, that acted in a give-and-take form and were based on the same principles as in Moscow lands. This socio-political system sprang up in Siberia under the influence of political traditions of nomadic Empires of Central Asia, and got fixed in Rus' during the Golden Horde period that is why it can be called Eurasian system. The Siberian government did not change the character and ways of dealing with new subjects. As a result, the aborigines adequately interpreted political and economic interests of Moscow. The major part of aborigines positively pereceived the change of suzerains and get a special position as Yasachnoe estate, or mixed with noblemen. The similar Eurasian traditions in political culture, social order, attitude to authority and own social position brought together locals and non-locals and paved the way for effective political dialogue. The common Eurasian political heritage manifested itself in all spheres of culture and mentality of interacting nations. It made live contactes easier, promoted mutual understanding in solving economic and social problems and also facilitated the process of Moscow power's entrenchment.
