Local deities, traditions, and regional identity of the Chinese community in Bali. Introduction to the problem (translated from English by E.M. Karageorgii)

The Chinese community in Bali is part of a larger Chinese Indonesian minority. An important aspect of inter-ethnic relations here is the religious one, with the supernatural and related expectations being involved in the dialogue of the locally dominant group with the community.
