The future of anthropology: cross-, inter-, multi-, trans-, a-, or post-disciplinarity?
The article discusses different forms and modes of disciplinarity and formation of disciplinary knowledge and practices. It raises the issue of multiplicity of forms of interaction between disciplinary and extra-disciplinary knowledge and practices. It analyzes some chronological paradoxes concerning modernism and postmodernism. The article focuses and draws primarily on the history of Russian anthropology and its sub-disciplines over the last fifty years.
