Human 2.0 in the focus of anthropology

The article focuses on several distinctive ways of integration between the living human body and technology and technical artefacts (or according to Vladimir Vernadsky's terminology, the fusions of 'animate-inanimate matter'), such as extension, incorporation, delegation of human body functions to inanimate things, and body techniques or somato-techniques. It is argued that these types, together with neuropharmacology and normative regulation of behaviour in various body-training techniques, are the main ways for biotechnical synthesis and hybridisation in the case of the human body and old and emerging technologies that figure prominently in both trans- and post-humanist discourses.
