Interpretative Activities of the Author and the Addressee in Modern Media (On the Material of Online Publications of the Kommersant Newspaper)
The article presents the results of studying the interpretative activities of the participants in a network media discourse on the material of the media texts of the online newspaper Kommersant. The conceptual foundations of the news media text are characterized; its interpretative potential, realized in the comments, is revealed. The possibilities of the interpreting activities of media recipients in the context of Internet communication are described. Determinants are identified that affect commenting on the stimulus media text. The interdisciplinary nature of the study is due to the combination of the linguistic analysis of the media material in a communicative aspect with a political science commentary, which allows evaluating the interpretative activity of the recipients of the network media taking into account the broad sociopolitical context. The methodology of complex linguistic analysis is applied here to a qualitatively new material-media texts of online media, which have a number of distinctive features in comparison with texts of print media. Still, the requirement of "communication and interaction between the media and the audience" is the basis of interactivity in the media and remains unchanged. In this regard, the structural-logical and semantic organization of the network media text, as well as the printed one, is focused on the addressee factor and subsequently becomes the basis for its interpretation in Internet comments. The interpretative potential of media texts is determined by a number of components, among which the author of the media text traditionally plays the leading role as the initiator of communication that sets the vector of the text's interpretation by potential readers. The interpretative activity of the recipients is determined by the stimulus text (its content, conceptual structure, completeness and sequence of its implementation by the author, explicitly and implicitly expressed author's position in relation to the described content). The content of online comments, however, is broader than the content of the interpreted text. The commenting persons rely not only on the original media text, but also on the assessment of the socio-communicative context in which it functions. Such "pretext determinants" in the comments are ideologemes of the recent past, the desire of users to be included in the "commentator" function on important sociopolitical issues, and comments can be both "professional" or simply assessing: the former generally rely on the analysis of the semantic blocks of the stimulus text, while the latter are limited to evaluative statements, often typical, characteristic of Internet communication in general. Based on the semantic blocks of the stimulus text, the authors of Internet comments introduce new topics for discussion, thereby expanding the semantic hypertext space of Internet communication.
