Group crime in the criminal law and Russian current criminal legislation
The term "group" is introduced into the criminal law and criminal legislation in order to determine those people who took part in the joint commission of a certain crime, i.e. accomplices of joint criminal activity (not to miss anyone and not to accuse someone innocent). People who are involved in a group crime are participants as well as accomplices in a criminal group. Since the group is a community of people with a certain structure, it helps to determine the degree of participation of each group member in the commission of a certain crime, i.e. to determine their measure of participation, involvement, and liability more precisely.
