Model of synaestheticity in the structure of musical giftedness
The problem of forming a model of synestheticity in the structure of musical talent is discussed. Various approaches in the study of musical talent as a psychological phenomenon are analyzed. Based on the approach laid down by domestic psychologists in the study of personal characteristics and cultural and activity-based understanding of the structure of the functioning of the phenomenon of giftedness and its components, the author’s approach to the process of integrating synestheticity into the organization of the structural components of musical giftedness and their interrelations is outlined. During the research, the relationship between the structural components of musical talent was analyzed. The discovered growth of relationships between musicality and the structural components of musical talent (spirituality, intelligence and creativity) made it possible to identify the presence of a system-forming feature, which is played by musicality. In the process of research, the process of integration of synaestheticity in the structure of musical talent was established. The features of the relationship between the structural components of musical talent and the levels of musical text are considered. To describe this interaction in detail, N.P. Kolyadenko’s synaesthetic projective model of musical and artistic consciousness was used. During the research, the following methods of mathematical statistics were used: correlation coefficient by the Spearman rank method; Student’s /-test for comparison of independent and dependent samples; Mann-Whitney U test; Page's L-test of tendencies. The work also used research methods that complement the information presented above about the process of the relationship between synestheticity and the structural components of musical talent: comparative typological (which is of great importance in the analysis of manifestations of synestheticity in the structure of musical talent); method of generalization and systematization (in working with sources); musicological methods of genre-style, holistic, intonation analysis of composer texts. The author declares no conflicts of interests.
