Preconditions and consequences of changes in the scope and nature of labor in the context of innovation economy formation
The article is devoted to the study of contemporary changes in the scope and nature of labor, due to the influence of the innovation economy. The discrepancy between the traditional notions of these categories and the current requirements for the market is studied. The key manifestation of changes in the scope and nature of labor under the current conditions are highlighted. It stipulates that the inconsistency of these changes leads to accumulation of problems in the field of social and labor relations. The basic categories of labor economics such as the scope and nature of labor are changing because of the ongoing changes in today's economy. In the long term such transformations, for example, in the approach to division of labor, can radically change not only the economic formation, but also the public. The scope of labor is a set of quality of certain job functions, which describes specific types of employment in the manufacturing process. Scope of labor, usually delimit in accordance with a variety of occupations, specialties. The nature of work expresses the socio-economic approach to connecting employees with means of labor, and reflects the process of human interaction as the subject of labor with the community and other stakeholders. The paper shows that labor occurring in the area of change is characterized by fragmentation. In practice, it can be seen as manifestations of modern trends that are adequate to the requirements of modernity, scientific and technical progress, and the conservatism, formed in the conditions of traditional and industrial economy. These contradictions are manifested in two opposing labor trends: hu-manization and labor precarization. The study suggests that the contradictions in employment will only increase. On the one hand, labor in innovation sectors of the economy will develop and improve the status of the most valuable employees (up to the status of free agents with guaranteed contracts). On the other hand, the status of less valuable workers will deteriorate (down to their enslavement or complete abandonment of continuous operation).
