A Modern Portrait of an Effective Leader: A Problem Statement
In the article, the author examines the evolution of leadership theories, shows the current state of affairs in the research area, highlights the problematic aspects of the study of psychological portraits of leaders, primarily related to the disintegration of research. He draws attention to the need for an integrated approach that allows considering the whole range of professional and psychological properties. He pays special attention to taking into account ethical issues when considering managers’ personalities and studies the roots of the weakening attention to leaders’ moral characters. The methodological importance of studying the stable psychological features of managers providing effective work of organizations is substantiated.
