Sustainability 5.0: From value transformation to digital technology management and social change
The relevance of the research is determined by the need to find effective solutions for ensuring sustainable development by leveraging the potential of digital technologies, amidst growing social and environmental problems that threaten the wellbeing of modern society. The aim of this research is to examine the features of the "Sustainability 5.0" concept in relation to ensuring the sustainable development of national economies, as well as to substantiate a toolkit for state policy that facilitates sustainable social changes based on the governance of digital technologies. The research objectives involve formulating a conceptual approach to ensuring sustainable social changes in accordance with the "Sustainability 5.0" concept; investigating the experience of various countries in integrating sustainability into their value systems, behavioral models, and the governance of digital development; and substantiating priority areas for state policy that can initiate sustainable social changes. Research methods include: content analysis of national strategies and programs in the field of sustainable and digital development, economic analysis, comparative analysis, logical method, graphical method, and a systems approach. The scientific novelty of the research lies in expanding the theoretical and methodological basis for ensuring sustainable social changes through the use of digital technologies' potential to address social and environmental challenges at the current stage of development. The authors formulated a conceptual approach to ensuring sustainable social changes and substantiated their determinants in accordance with the principles of Sustainability 5.0. A comprehensive analysis of the sustainable development policies implemented in Finland, Sweden, and Russia was conducted. It was established that the leading countries in sustainable development clearly follow the logic of initiating sustainable social changes in their decisions (changing values, altering behavioral models, orienting applied digital technologies towards solving social and environmental tasks). Strategic benchmarks for Russia's sustainable development were identified. Authors' contribution: B. O. Khashir - corresponding author, development of the theoretical base of the study, selection of the literature, substantiation of the conclusions. E.A. Gatina - formation of the methodological foundations of the study, formulation of the scientific hypothesis, setting of the aim and objectives of the study, preparation of the conclusions. A.A. Chudaeva - data processing through systematization and economic and statistical analysis. E. V.
