Hybrid model of organizational lifecycle management in the era of business digital transformation
In the era of digital business transformation, traditional models of the organization's life cycle, describing its development from creation to maturity and decline, need to be modified accordingly. Digitalization radically changes the business environment, accelerates the pace of external and internal changes, requiring flexibility, adaptability and permanent innovative development from companies. The objective of the study is to develop and substantiate a hybrid model of organizational life cycle management based on a combination of traditional and digital life cycles. The article presents an analysis of the evolution of the organization life cycle concept adapted to the digital economy. Traditional life cycle models, including the stages of formation, growth, maturity and decline, are summarized and their incompleteness in the context of rapid technological progress and high competition is revealed. The concept of the digital life cycle is presented, including the stages of digital inception, point digitalization, adoption of digital reality, self-regulation and multivariate foresight, as well as an open digital ecosystem. The main contribution of the study is to propose a model that combines traditional and digital development cycles, which is a tool for assessing the current state of the organization, as well as developing an effective digital transformation strategy. The matrix approach provides a comprehensive view of the possibilities of integrating digital technologies at various stages of the traditional life cycle, helping to achieve consistency between the digital transformation strategy and the current stage of the organization's development, which allows optimizing the management decision-making process. The article proposes a hybrid model of the organization's life cycle, adapted to the conditions of the digital economy, describes its differences and advantages in comparison with traditional approaches. The presented model combines the classical stages of organization development with the stages of digital adaptation, which allows you to get a comprehensive and up-to-date idea of the business evolution process. The research methodology includes the development of a hybrid model matrix, each field of which represents a unique state of the organization described by a combination of characteristics of traditional and digital development cycles; construction of a digital development compass, the directions of which determine five trajectories of organizational changes; as well as a descriptive characteristic of each vector. The study is based on general theoretical aspects of organizational life cycle management and the specifics of their manifestation in the context of digital transformation. The methods of comparative analysis, systems approach and modeling are used. The author declares no conflicts of interests.
