The role of the Chair of Political Economy at TSU in the professionaldevelopment of economics teaching staff

The article deals with the role of the Chair of Political Economy in the process of professional development of economics teaching staff. It shows differences among the forms of teaching processes organization and among contents of different educational programmes preconditioned by specific character of the tasks which Russian Higher School has been facing since 1990 up to the present days. The ground is given to the main criteria which have become the basis of development and realization of the programme «The important problems of Russian economy: micro- and macroeconomic issues».
