Application of competence approach to preparation of cadres for management of small business
This article considers the main requirementsof labor market to the qualities of a modern manager as well as peculiarities and the role of managementin small business. The article reviews the main lines of competency-based approach development,principles of its appliance in the foreign scientific schools that emerged relatively independent ofeach other. The knowledge of theoretical background and current world practice in management andhuman resource development will favor the improvement of the personnel management system based oncompetency approach. This article proposes a training mechanism intended to develop managers competencieson the basis of his particular managed area or managed business process on a small enterprise:Strategic Manager, Marketing Director, Finance Director, Operational Director.
