Failures of rational decision making theory
Weconsider dominant neoclassical paradigm of economic man (Resourceful, Evaluative, MaximizingMan), summed up the main eight directions of the claims to the neoclassical theory of rational choice:historical context, social context, method, mathematization, subject, goal setting, information restrictions,irrationality; for each of directions we show the most significant theorys attempt to overcomeconstraints facing it, at the end we conclude that the theory is in urgent need of appropriate alternativemodel of economic man.
