The specificity of typologizing audio podcasts in the social networks VKontakte and Telegram
The specificity of the typology of audio formats in social networks is investigated based on the material of audio content posted on the VKontakte and Telegram platforms. The possibility of using radio program classification parameters to typologize audio formats of social media is determined. The functional, semantic, formal, and target aspects of the typologization of audio podcasts prepared in the context of modem social network culture are considered. The comparative analysis was used in the work, which allowed determining how well traditional journalistic techniques correlate with new communicative material. Thematic, genre, textual, lexicosemantic and communicative-pragmatic types of analysis were used to identify the main units and categories of the study. The empirical basis of this study was the podcasts Vremya metamorfoz [Time of Metamorphoses], PROFItroli [PROFItroles], Iskusstvo dlyapatsanchikov [Art for Boys], Poluostrov [Peninsula], Masterskaya novykh media [Workshop of New Media], etc., posted on VKontakte and Telegram. The analysis of audio formats shows the following results: 1. Audio formats in social networks are more or less multifunctional in their structure, with communicative, educational and entertainment functions prevailing. 2. In terms of content, the topics of business, social relations, and psychology come to the fore. 3. As for the form, then the bulk of podcasts on social networks are recorded, are conversational in nature and use genre forms of audio narration, conversation and audio diary. 4. The analysis of the target aspect shows that audio formats are aimed at a specialized audience; the audience chooses the time for listening itself, and popularity can be determined by counting the number of listens, likes, and comments. The results of the study show that, to characterize audio formats in social networks as a structurally organized system, approaches developed in the typology of mass media, and radio programs in particular, can be used.
