Mathematical simulation of the formbuilding of the conic driving gear details with ec-gearing

Formbuilding of the surface of a driving gear detail, in the most general formulation, is the task of two surfaces (the processed detail and the instrument's surface) closing in up in the space to the point of contact where the surfaces have the common contact plane. Solving the problem of analytical description of the geometry of the surface contact is necessary for finding optimum methods and tools of processing details on multicoordinate NC units. In this aspect, a mathematical model for the formbuilding of conic driving gear details with EC-gearing has been constructed in this work using milling cutters of two types. Systems of equations for the determination of the milling cutter location, at the point contact, have been derived. Analytical and numerical solutions of these systems are found. The complex of special computer programs to control the milling cutter moving while processing the detail was developed.
