Influence of the particle size distribution function in a polydisperse suspension on the separation process in a classification apparatus
In this article the abnormal behavior ofthe separation curve in a classification apparatus (so-called «fish-hook» effect) with using the kinematic model of the entrainment of the fine particles by larger ones is explained. The influenceof the particle size distribution function in a feed polydisperse suspension on the separation curve is shown.
