Distance course model of teacher’s professional training in E-learning
He paper considers the questions of e-learning course methods for training of e-learning teachers. The teacher of e-learning (EL) must have relevant qualification for teaching in methodology, content and technology. He must be trained in teaching methodology as a set of techniques, methods of e-learning in specific subjects at all levels of education, as well as methods for specific types of distance control, laboratory and practical workshops. The current system of EL-teachers’ training (by results of the analyses of programs of refresher courses) leads to a low level of EL-teacher’s training that is consequences of lack of a unified qualification requirements for EL-teachers which could be one of the tools of quality system of educational institutions and could serve as a reference point for all educational institutions providing EL-teachers’ training. For this reason, there is a need to create a system of EL-teachers’ training within professional training. The system proposed includes the development of a technique of distance training course for EL-teachers’ training. The development of relevant EL-teacher’s competencies can be carried out most effectively within distance learning in professional training courses. When designing an e-learning course, it is necessary to take into account the specific of the course topic, combining EL theory and practice while the participants learn how to teach distantly. For the learners it is important not only to obtain certain knowledge, but also skills for independent work with information, methods of cognitive activity. Moreover, it is advisable to involve a learner into an active cognitive activity to solve educational problems. It is the EL, which helps teachers to get into a new learning environment and perceive the theory and practice simultaneously. After passing the course as students, teachers will organize their distance learning process more easily to, taking into account their own experience and having possibility to analyze both the position of a teacher and a student in the course of EL. For implementation of this course we have developed a method for its carrying out in a distance format, which is a description of the stages of the e-learning course. Each stage contains a description of activities of the students and teachers, aimed at solving well-defined task with the direction of ways for its solving. A gradual complication of tasks is accompanied by the support in the form of consultations, examples of the tasks solved, and demonstrative web-resources. As the course mastering, the learner gradually uses fewer number of supports and emphasizes his attention on practical application of the distance learning methods concerning specific features in his educational sphere that significantly increases his motivation and arouses even more interest for the subject matter of the course.
