The cultural universal “Destiny” and the scientific world picture: vectors of semantic interaction

The revealed semantic correlations of the cultural universal “Destiny” and the “man-world” relationship in the scientific world picture is that both build a certain type of worldview by generalizing human experience (the experience of life in general, the image of reality, the principle of determinism, etc.), determining a person’s relationship with the world. It is shown that there are at least two main stages of semantic interaction between the cultural universal “Destiny” and the scientific world picture, which result in the generation of new types of worldviews with corresponding world pictures (ideological “turns”). The cultural universal “Destiny”, like all cultural universal phenomena, performs a worldview function, carries a holistic image of the world and a person’s place in it. The cultural universal phenomenon “Destiny” participates in the formation of a common cultural and historical picture of the world, the content of which contains heterogeneous, non-systematized knowledge, and there is a need for the allocation of more objective knowledge, the need for their systematization. Initially, such a systematizer of knowledge about the world is the semantic core of the cultural universal “Destiny”, which unites objective knowledge about the essence of the world, its structure, etc. As such, it becomes a prerequisite for the development of the theoretical and categorical framework of science and the corresponding scientific picture of the world, having gone through a preliminary philosophical and reflective processing. The article shows the multilayered structure of the cultural universal “Destiny” and the mechanism of renewal of meanings under the influence of the modern cultural context, whose dominant factor is science and the modern scientific world picture, which is being formed under the influence of scientific knowledge that sets the ways of seeing and exploring objects and, accordingly, affects not only general ideas about the world, but also the ways a person interacts with it. The role of the cultural universal “Destiny” as an important participant in the deep program of social development, containing ideas about the world and a person’s place in it, is substantiated.
