Heroic constructions of political communication in the context of conflict of values in Ukraine

In the conflict of values in Ukraine both sides use the same mythic-heroical scheme that simulates two parallel political realities that are expressed in terms of propaganda. The reality of this type according to its genesis can be called "nominative" one, i.e. it is simulated by the very act of denomination as "heroes". However, the phenomenon of heroes depends also on the designation of enemies, that is why exactly they play a major constitutive role. The feature of the political myth under examination is in its incompleteness: instead of creating of the full version of monomyth and phenomenon of Saviour, micro history of a battle between collective heroes and their enemies is constructed. Due to the importance of this mythic construct a great attention is paid to the image of the enemy, which is deprived of human nature (as it is reflected in the discursive forms "Colorado" and "Banderlogs"). The mythic motive of the Victory over the enemy is also in the semantic connection with the heroic fight. In the process of development of this motive the idealization of the past occurs, which is also understood in antithetic way: Soviet / anti-Soviet. Here the symbolic war of flags begins when Ukrainian national flag is confronted with St George's flag (sometimes tricolour). Also hero-cities are reproduced as mythic subjects of a new reality from the category of Soviet symbolic attributes. But the main conflict is associated with general cultural categories of "peace" and "anti-world" that represent the image of the future mythic world which includes values of each party to the conflict. In the format of such a discursive conflict the effect of negative political communication appears, when each side becomes isolated in its own semantic world. As far as each of the worlds is a world of heroic political myth, they can not communicate in general. The fact is that "one's own" world - is full of meaning, and the "outsider's" world -is meaningless. As a result, this principal emotional language of heroic political myth makes the pragmatic dialogue impossible, all this highlights the problem of a semantic translation
