Resonant interaction of air flow with bending vibrations of a finite elastic plate
The resonance interaction of the elastic plate with the air flow around it is studied, which leads to the development of wind instability. Dispersion equation of Flexural vibrations is obtained and investigated. The conditions of amplification and non-transmission of bending waves are found. The spectrum of complex natural oscillation frequencies is determined for a plate having finite dimensions and pivotally supported along the edges of the plate located in the air flow around it. Estimates of the main parameters of wind instability are obtained.
