New method of study of the characteristics of ignition of condensed systems by laser radiation
Presents a method of determining characteristics of samples of ignition of condensed systems by laser radiation, providing uniform distribution of heat flux density on the sample surface in the process of ignition. The method consists of measuring the ignition delay time of a rotating cylindrical sample when continuous laser radiation is applied to its end surface. The theoretical estimation of the required angular velocity of the sample rotation providing averaging with a given error of the radiation flux density on the sample surface, as well as the degree of surface cooling due to convective heat transfer is carried out. The results of experiments on the ignition of pyroxylin radiation from a CO2-laser with rotation and without rotation of the sample.
