Peculiarities in the behavior of magnetic characteristics of thin permalloy films near their edges
Using a scanning spectrometer of ferromagnetic resonance (FMR), the magnetic properties of nanocrystalline thin films fabricated by magnetron sputtering of permalloy targets of various compositions NixFe1-x (x = 0.6-0.85) were studied. The behavior of the main magnetic characteristics near the edges of thin films was analyzed. It was shown that near the edges of the films, not only the field of uniaxial magnetic anisotropy deviates significantly from the average value, but the FMR line also sharply broadens and the effective saturation magnetization decreases.
