The optimum conditions determination for the electrochemical conversion of the phase’s flows process under isotope exchanche
The paper considers the basic principles of organizing the isotopes separation process for alkaline elements in a countercurrent two-phase ion-exchange system with electrochemical conversion of the phase’s flows under the conditions of electromigration of isotopically substituted forms of ions during electrodialysis. Mathematical models of the process of isotopic enrichment are developed, which take into account the electrochemical method of reversing phase’s flows with a moving flow of an ion exchanger in a column. The conditions for the transport of isotopic ions in the vertical and horizontal directions, as well as the diffusion time of isotopically substituted forms of ions through the working chamber of an electrodialysis apparatus operating under dynamic conditions of solution supply, energy spent and power supply conditions are established. Calculated results of the theoretical research for exchange two-phase systems with subsequent electroregeneration of the ion-exchange material show agreement with experimental data.
