Synthesis of single-layer ZrN coatings by vacuum arc plasma-assisted method at filtration of plasma flow
The coatings based on ZrN were deposited by a vacuum arc method in the conditions of plasma assistance and filtration of plasma from a droplet phase. Properties, elemental and phase composition of coatings, their structure were investigated in a complex by the methods of modern materials science. The deposition modes in which the created coatings have low roughness (0.03 μm), high hardness (up to 30.5 GPa), low coefficient of friction (0.39), low wear factor (to 2.2·10-6 mm3/N·m), were revealed. It was determined by results of the X-ray diffraction analysis that the coatings consist of ZrN crystallites with a cubic lattice.
