Thermodynamic analysis of nanobubbles on a hydrophobic surface

Thermodynamic analysis of the formation of an equilibrium nanobubble on a smooth hydrophobic surface of the water - solid interface is carried out. Taking into account the capillarity Kelvin formula, electrostatic energy of the double layer at the bubble-water boundary and changes in surface energy. The presence of a minimum of Gibbs energy indicates the possibility of spontaneous generation of such nanobubblesl, their balance and long-term stability.
