Hybrid plasma - prospects for applications in medicine and biology
The approach for the generation of a low-temperature hybrid plasma produced by the simultaneous ionization of plasma-generating medium by an electron beam with an electron energy of 30 keV and an RF-discharge (13.56 MHz) is described. The design of a plasma-chemical reactor designed for the generation of hybrid plasma is described, and the results of spectrometric measurements are given. It has been established that the modification of chitosan films in a hybrid oxygen plasma improves their hydrophilic properties and has advantages over treatment in an RF-discharge and an electron beam plasma. The effective bactericidal effect of HP has been shown using test-culture of Escherichia coli . The prospects for the practical applications of hybrid plasma in biology and medicine are discussed.
