On ”two-dimensional” hydrogen molecule
Using analytical and numerical methods, the possibility of the existence of a “planar” hydrogen molecule H2 in a “two-dimensional” subspace of three-dimensional space was first analyzed. For this, the same mathematical formalism was used, with the help of which one of the authors of this work has already shown the possibility of the existence of a “two-dimensional” one and two-electron atom. Also, the impossibility of the existence of the same multi-electron atom was theoretically justified earlier, which was first mentioned in one of the previous works. It is shown that “two-dimensional” hydrogen molecules can exist with characteristics similar to ordinary “three-dimensional” molecules. The conclusions of this work can be verified experimentally, because “two-dimensional” atoms were obtained experimentally quite a long time ago.
