Optimization of electric thrust based on a pulse arc plasma with the use of a pulse magnetic field

Based on the results of numerical simulation, it is shown that it is possible in principle to achieve an effective magneto-induction correction of expansion of a high-gradient plasma from a localized arc source and a corresponding increase in the thrust pulse by several times with a steepness of the rise induction in the accelerator of the order of 104 T/s. In these conditions, a pulse-periodic mode of device operation with a delay of the front of the current pulse in the magnetic field source relative to the ignition voltage pulse in the plasma source, which is determined by the expansion speed of the plasma cloud within the device, is required.
