Current loading analysis of the accelerating field of the LUE-200 accelerator
The current loading of an accelerated electron beam of accelerating fields in the LUE-200 linear accelerator of the IREN facility of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (Dubna) is discussed. LUE-200 consists of two accelerating sections on a traveling wave with an operating frequency of 2856 MHz with compression systems of RF power SLED type. The limits of the magnitude of the accelerated beam current are determined for various pulse durations of the beam current and RF power levels introduced into the accelerating sections. The calculation results are compared with the measurement results.
