Formation of one-dimensional distributions of values of correlators of network traffic agregates

A mathematical model of the flow of aggregated load characteristics of network traffic data packets in the form of a set of analytical signals is proposed. The real parts of the analytical signals are defined as functions of the number of packets in each aggregate, and each analytical signal corresponds to one of the flag indices of the aggregate. A conditional analogy between the flow of units of network traffic flow and the envelope of wave packets of coherent electromagnetic fields is held, based on which the phase portraits and the correlation functions of aggregates of network traffic where considered, similar phase portraits and envelopes correlators of the coherent electromagnetic field. It is shown that phase portraits and one-dimensional distributions of correlator values can be used to describe various normal and abnormal states of network traffic caused by complex DDoS attacks.
