Photo effect on a hydrogen atom in an extremely strong magnetic field

A photo effect on a hydrogen atom placed in an extremely strong magnetic field is considered. The dependence of the cross section on the angle between the photon momentum and the magnetic field strength vector (the direction of free motion of the emitted electron) is investigated. It is shown that in the presence of a magnetic field, the shape of the dependence of the cross section on this angle changes significantly. The dependence of the cross section on the photon energy was studied and it was shown that, near the reaction threshold, it is necessary to take into account the interaction of an electron with the nucleus of a hydrogen atom.
