Implementation of the DOAS method for the measurement of gas pollutants in the UV region
The method of differential optical absorption spectroscopy is an effective tool for measuring the integral concentration of atmospheric gases and impurities on long path (hundreds of meters) traces. Set up of a portable low-power gas analyzer, which can be used for remote trace measurements of gas pollution of the atmosphere is proposed. The gas analyzer includes a set of ultraviolet LEDs emitting in the UV region of the spectrum, optical fibers, a receiving and transmitting telescope, a spectrometer and treatment system. The article describes the technique and some results of field measurements of the concentration of a number of gas pollutants of the atmosphere.
