Experimental and theoretical research of the interaction between a high-velocity fragment and a distributed target
The adjustment of the method for conducting the research of a high-velocity interaction between a striker and a distributed target is represented. The distributed target consisted of acrylic plastic (PMMA) and an obstacle - “a bystander” made of aluminum alloy D16 located at 60 mm distance from the obstacle. The adjustment of the method of experiment was conducted at a velocity range of 1500…2500 m\\s. A mathematical modelling of a high-velocity interaction realized in the series of experiments is included in the method in order to investigate corresponding popup effects in a more detailed way
