Gamma-spectrometric determination of uranium, torium and potassium content in soils of south-east of Tomsk region
A quantitative assessment of natural radio nuclides in the soils of the south-east of the Tomsk region was carried out by the method of field gamma-spectrometric survey. Data on the radionuclide composition of soils, namely the content of uranium, thorium and potassium, make it possible to establish the reasons for the increased concentration (natural or man-made) and assess the degree of danger to the population. The increased content of thorium was found in the soils of the v. Svetly, the v. Kuskovo, TGOK «Ilmenite», s. Zorkaltsevo, and uranium in samples in p. Kuzovlevo, p. Nadezhda, TGOK «Ilmenite».
