The structural variant of the mixtures rule for nanocomposites polymer/2D-nanofiller
The possibility of correct application of modified mixtures rule for description of elastic modulus of polymer nanocomposites has been shown. It has been found that aggregation degree of 2D-nanofiller (graphene oxide), characterized by number of its platelets per one aggregate (tactoid), is one factor, defining elastic modulus of these nanomaterials at fixed content of nanofiller and polymer matrix. The quality of 2D-nanofiller functionalization is defined by its ability to enhance interactions polymer matrix-nanofiller and to not change (or reduce) interactions between nanofiller platelets.
